Hi! I’m Rebeka, owner of Manawa Photography! Y’all can call me Beka, I feel like Rebeka is too formal lol.
Born and raised in south Texas. I’m married to my high school sweet heart and together we support each other, travel and follow our dreams. My family and friends are my greatest supporters. Being surrounded by a group of loving people is amazing.
I love what I do! It’s my passion to capture all the moments that we’d love to cherish forever. My photography journey started just as a travel hobby. Anytime we’d take a trip I’d try to capture as many memories as possible. Candid shots are my absolute favorite! Capturing the genuine smiles is just the best!
It all sounds super cheesy, lol it’s strange writing about myself.. I’m a super introvert. Legit i’m the person at the party hiding in the corner with a dog >.< ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I started off with birth photography after seeing a viral birth story. I was in absolute awe! Seeing a full story of a mother going into labor, the fear, the worry, the pain, the strength, the excitement and the pure bliss of her seeing her newborn child for the first time. It was amazing to see her support team by her side the whole time. It really inspired me!
So while I love capturing all the moments of pregnancy and birth, I’ve ventured off to my new journey as a Birth Doula! Of course i’m still taking photos, I’ve just added on. I want to support mamas and their families in any way possible. ♡
