Birth Story Of Arabella Rose

This is my first birth story since I’ve started my photography journey and i’m so thankful I had the opportunity to document this birth. Every birth is different, not every birth will go as planned. This story is hope🙏🏼

This is the birth story of Baby A 🎀

It’s been a long night, my water broke at 6am, I’ve been to the birthing center a couple times to monitor baby A.

Things are progressing slowly, but slow progress is better than no progress. Admitted to the birth center at 6pm.

Pumping to hopefully get those contractions started.

Walked around Walmart for a bit, got some new slippers.

Now back at the birth center, staying hydrated and pumping again.

Worried that things aren’t going as quickly as hoped for. Got to sleep for a while, and got my energy back up.

It’s 6am again, we really thought you’d be here by now, I got a dose of antibiotics as a preventative, things have really picked up.

We’re getting closer, the urge to push is creeping up.

The pain is a little harsh, but we’re all waiting for you.

Push!Push!Push!

Pushing felt like an eternity.

We didn’t hear that loud baby cry.

You came out with the unbiblical cord wrapped around, with shades of purple and white.

We all prayed and cried anxiously waiting for you.

It felt as if time has stopped and we were all focused on you.

We all waited for you to make a sound or a movement, showing us that you were okay.

You finally made a sound and started moving! Your little cry was so so amazing to hear. It was the sweetest sound. They placed you on my chest, my sweet sweet love. How happy I was to know that you were okay.

Daddy was in tears, one of the scariest things he’s ever seen. His baby girl fighting for her light. His wife, having the strength the bring you into this world.

Our little family has grown by one. One little heart and ten little toes.

We are forever grateful for the nurses and midwives, they were amazing and did everything to bring you home to us!

It’s been a crazy 27 hours, but you are here and as healthy as can be💕Our little miracle baby, Arabella Rose 💕
